Your bag is empty.
I’m a mum to three children: my eldest, Isabelle, and my twins, Penny and George.
When I found out I was expecting twins, I felt a huge mix of emotions. There was excitement and joy, of course - but if I’m honest, there was also shock… and a lot of worry. Suddenly everything felt bigger. Bigger responsibility, bigger unknowns, and bigger questions.
I quickly realised that a twin pregnancy is very different. The appointments were different, the risks were talked about more, and everything seemed to come with extra layers of complexity. But what surprised me most was how little real-life support and understanding seemed to exist for parents going through the same thing.
From pregnancy right through to those early newborn days, there were moments that felt overwhelming. I had so many questions — questions I didn’t always know who to ask. Some days I just needed someone who understood what it felt like to be completely exhausted, juggling two babies at once, wondering if I was doing any of it “right”.
The newborn fog with twins is real. The sleepless nights, feeding two babies at once, trying to comfort one while the other cries — it can feel relentless at times.
And alongside the emotional side of it all, there was something else I began to notice.
Everything with twins comes in doubles.
Double the nappies.
Double the wipes.
Double the everyday essentials.
For many families, those costs can quickly become overwhelming, especially during a time when parents are already under so much pressure. I began hearing from other parents who were worrying about how they would afford the basic items their babies needed.
That stayed with me.
No parent should have to worry about how they will provide the basic essentials for their babies.
That’s when the idea for a nationwide baby bank for families with twins began to grow.
The aim was simple - to help parents access the everyday essentials their babies need, while creating a supportive community where families don’t feel alone.
But just as importantly, I wanted parents to feel understood.
Because sometimes what you need most isn’t just practical help - it’s knowing that someone truly gets it.
That’s why I created Twins UK Support CIC.
A space built by a twin parent, for twin parents.
A place where people can find reassurance, support, and connection with others who are walking the same path. A place where parents don’t feel judged for struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or simply trying to get through the day.
This isn’t about being perfect parents or pretending we have it all figured out.
It’s about honesty, support, and community.
Whether you’re expecting twins, deep in the newborn stage, or juggling the chaos of life with two little ones at once, this space is for you.
Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned on this journey, it’s this:
You’re not alone.
And you never should have to feel like you are.
We’re in this together.
